The ExtraCare Charitable Trust enables older people to enjoy a healthier, happier and more independent future by integrating their homes, care and lifestyle. Founded in 1988, ExtraCare is a registered charity based in Coventry. It operates 3,848 homes within 14 retirement villages and 17 smaller housing schemes. Each village or scheme has 5 to 18 social, health and leisure facilities that are accessible to more than 4,400 residents 3,000 volunteers and local people representing all age groups living in surrounding communities. ExtraCare’s 60 Charity Shops help fund care and well-being services for older people living in its villages and schemes.

We are currently recruiting a Sales Administrator, to join the team at our new development in High Wycombe.

Our Hughenden Gardens project is our first retirement Village in High Wycombe and will consist of 260 one and two bedroom apartments for affordable rent and purchase, and a host of social and leisure facilities to enjoy when it opens in summer 2018.

From taking incoming calls and messages, dealing with new sales enquiries in person and over the phone, to sending out letters and correspondance, you’ll have a hand in most things that go on within the Sales Team. Then there’s the unexpected visitors, the last minute rush, and the... well, unknown.  You can be sure, there is never a dull moment here.

Forget traditional residential care. This is different. We’re about to embark on building our latest village which is built to extremely high specifications. We challenge the stereotypes of later life. Our villages have a superb range of facilities including a village hall, bar, bistro, hairdressing & beauty salon, gym, wood work and craft room.

You’ll need experience of Word, Excel and Access, as well as the ability to communicate confidently, stay organised under pressure and manage various levels of administration.  You’ll invite potential purchasers to our sales presentations, help the sales team to prepare for presentations and provide an efficient service through the whole process from sales reservation to eventual move in.

Above all, great Customer Service and the ability to build rapport with people is key to this role.
