Our client, a successful, small but growing financial services organisation, are recruiting for a Digital Marketing Officer, a new role to the organisation, to help achieve their ambitious plans for the future. The main focus of the role is to be responsible for all aspects of their online presence, planning and delivering a broad range of primarily digital marketing initiatives in coordination with other members of the Sales & Marketing team.

The main duties will be:

Planning and Implementation

  • Together with the Sales & Marketing Director develop an overarching online marketing plan, coordinating closely with non-digital activities
  • Lead the plan’s implementation, briefing and managing agencies as appropriate
  • Monitor progress towards set KPIs, providing analysis, suggested improvements, weekly updates and formal quarterly reports

Content planning and delivery

  • Develop content plan in coordination with the Sales and Marketing team in order to deliver greater engagement
  • Provide innovative suggestions for improving the organisations content output
  • Generate text, image or video-based content either through agencies or using own skills

Social media marketing and advertising

  • Drive forward an expansion of social media marketing being responsible for planning, delivery and monitoring of output
  • Propose, deliver, and manage online advertising (PPC, Display, social platforms)

Email marketing

  • Schedule, create and optimise email marketing output including both educational content as well as promotional messages

Website maintenance and development

  • Maintain Wordpress website ensuring content remains up to date
  • Write content and adapt or source imagery or video as necessary
  • Monitor website performance via Google Analytics and make regular improvements to user experience and SEO


  • Keep abreast of relevant trends and innovations, making recommendations on their adoption
  • Provide copy support (brochure alterations, print newsletter, letters)
  • Ensure that all output complies with financial services regulation
  • Any other duties as required by the Sales & Marketing Director
