A Best-In-Class freight forwarding and logistics service provider to the energy & resource industries are looking for a SALES AND SERVICE EXECUTIVE to work out of their GLASGOW office.

The client has five core areas of expertise - global forwarding, project logistics, material management, consultancy services and technology - that together shape a definitive offering to global oil & gas operations.

You will be responsible for building freight solutions for new and existing customers mainly in the oil and gas markets. This will involve building extensive knowledge of the client's markets and customers to ensure the correct solution is put together every time. You will also display a can do attitude and possess a need to get everything right first time.

* Identify sales targets & secure business opportunities with existing clients
* Maintain and develop existing customers through regular meetings
* Respond to and follow up on any sales leads in a timely and professional manner
* Develop sales plan and prioritise appropriately to deliver business objectives
* Deliver effective sales presentations to prospective customers
* Maintain and report all relevant customer information on Pentagons CRM system
* Monitor and report on market and competitor activities
* Liaise with Operations personnel to identify customer service issues and address appropriately
* Attend meetings and business seminars as requested by the Commercial Manager
* Organise and attend client hospitality events when required
* Meeting and exceeding all KPI'

Essential skills

* Previous experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistic
* Proven track record in B2B sales delivery
* Fully Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Good interpersonal skills
* Presentation skills
* Excellent communication skills
* both written and verbal
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Driven and organised manner
