About Us

We are a relatively new, highly ambitious company that have recently acquired two Independent UK Boarding School’s (Adcote School for Girls + Myddelton College). The primary function of the Birmingham office is the recruitment of International Students who can be placed at one of the above schools. We are rapidly growing, and provide huge potential to rise within the company in a short space of time. Our plans over the next five years are for rapid expansion, and we are seeking somebody looking for a long term position to join us.

Main Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of the Finance Assistant would be to ensure smooth operation of the Sales/Purchase ledger on a daily basis. They will be responsible for keeping track of all the company’s financial transaction ensuring that information produced will be accurate and on a timely basis in order to help the management of the business entity to make key strategic decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Process all invoices, expense claims, payments in a timely manner
  2. Developing internal reports
  3. Attending meetings from a finance perspective when required
  4. Maintaining customer records ensuring timely payments are received
  5. Reconciliation of bank statements and balance sheets
  6. Assistance in office administration tasks
  7. Ensure supplier records on accounting system are maintained
  8. Reconcile petty cash claims ensuring discrepancies are highlighted and raised with Finance Manager

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • IT literate, with knowledge of databases and spreadsheets
  • Experience of working within a finance team

KNOWLEDGE

  • An understanding of Sage Accounting software
  • An understanding of Key Accounting policies
