Badenoch & Clark are working alongside an instantly recognisable company based in Brighton towards the appointment of a Head of Finance MI and Finance Efficiency. You will play a leading role within the senior finance team and will assist in the driving of growth throughout the business.
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be accountable for extrapolating essential information from various different sources and thenceforth identifying patterns and anomalies in aid of improving processes throughout the business. As such you must maintain strong analytical skills as well as a pro-active, constructive attitude in your day-to-day function.
Key Accountabilities
*Review all finance expense and MI processing to ensure maximum use of automation, removing duplication and manual processing.
*Establish, maintain and develop, cost management and control processes across the company to create a strong environment for financial control, on-going cost reduction, and to comply with Group and UK Financial policies and guidelines.
*Understand and interpret the drivers of new and in-force unit costs, challenging where appropriate, to ensure profitability is maximised.
*Provide board level reporting on divisional costs for the Exec and Group reporting team within required timescales.
*Provide granularity and timely expense allocation information and ensure the business takes ownership of ensuring they are accurate and updated regularly.
*Ensure that Expense plans and forecasts are consistent with strategy, deliver the anticipated benefits, and are capable of being implemented by the Business with the human and financial resources available to it.
*Identify senior stakeholder KPI and reporting requirements and ensuring that Management and Exec Information are customised to deliver timey financial performance statistics using an appropriate method of delivery, granularity and presentation.
*Produce sales and other business MI for the business to aid decision making and supporting achievement of financial targets
*Ensure that systems & processes are developed and delivered having taken into account the requirements of the Treating Customers Fairly Policy.
*Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
*Ability to manage and prioritise deliverables appropriately and consistently deliver to deadlines
*Confident communicator with the ability to concisely convey messages in written or verbal format and to adapt communication style as appropriate for the audience
*Excellent presentation skills
*Ability to appropriately use logical argument and data to influence or challenge
