Chef De Partie - £19.5k - Cambridge

My retained client is looking for a chef de partie to join their growing brigade. As a Chef De Partie you will have the opportunity to oversee a section of the kitchen, these will include pastry, butchery, fish, sauces, vegetables and so on. Furthermore you will be working with and receive help from a commis or trainee chef. As Chef de partie you will have previous experience in the kitchen. This establishment offers quiet, elegant and comfortable surroundings, making it the ideal venue for a memorable and enjoyable visit. It also boasts a prime location.

As Chef De Partie your duties will include:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
  • Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you
  • Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
