Communications Manager role- £34-37k

My client is a leading UK charity retailer with over 700 shops on the high street, a thriving eBay site and commerce website. They are looking for a Communications Manager to work within the retail Communications team in generating a wide range of media coverage for the brand's retail.

Key responsibilities for the Communications Manager

RETAIL COMMUNICATIONS
*Delivery of 2/3 national campaigns which help drive the needs of the retail directorate including stock donation, the recruitment of volunteers and campaigns to entice shoppers
*Build effective working relationships with the Retail Directorate, representing the full range of communications and digital services we offer, and advising senior colleagues on appropriate communications
*Support and advise the Retail Media Officer in the delivery of a diverse workload which includes both national campaigns and shop specific events/openings/milestone birthdays
*Manage the production and distribution of communications materials, manage media briefings, photo calls, launch activities, and be responsible for the approval of charity retail press releases and media materials
*Keep up to date with issues affecting retail and the high street and help advise on and develop the charity's position and response to these issues
*Act as a spokesperson and advise/brief staff undertaking media interviews

The communications Manager will have:

*Good level of general education, educated to degree level or equivalent with a relevant qualification in media or communications
*Experience in a retail press office is desirable
*Communication/Marketing qualification a bonus
*A strong interest in business, fashion and charity shop shopping
*Good knowledge of digital communications tools and tactics including video, updating and maintaining web pages, blogger engagement, social networks, search and digital marketing
Experience of leading media teams
*Success in gaining quality coverage essential
*Experience of leading national media campaigns and securing fantastic results
*Clear evidence of using negotiation and diplomacy skills
*Experience of successfully promoting campaigns within the retail industry
