Position Description
Do you want to be part of something prestigious? We are looking for an experienced Operational Security Manager to work on a major Local Government IT programme based in Edinburgh. You will be a critical member of the team working to deliver and influence IT security on this prestigious programme. This is a senior role and you will need to be comfortable operating and influencing at the highest levels in both the client and, when necessary, at UK Board level within CGI. You will need to be self-assured and able to operate with the appropriate gravitas in a client environment as the "face of CGI Cyber". You will need to liaise with the client's key security managers and team as well as colleagues from within CGI's Cyber practice to deliver the IT Security protocols required. You may also need to work with our internal Cyber team to allocate additional resources and specialist skills in areas such as pen testing, risk analysis, forensic incident handling and business continuity in order to provide the best service for our client.

Due to the nature of the work you should already hold UK Security Clearance to SC level or be willing and eligible to undergo this level of clearance.

You will be based from our Edinburgh office with at least three days per week on the client site also in Edinburgh. We will support relocation to Edinburgh for the right candidate.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As our IT Security Manager your main day to day role will be ensuring that the IT security controls and protocols in place on the programme are fully adhered to. This will be in accordance with all the relevant standards (these include e.g. ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 2700 series). You'll need to be able to influence and guide key stakeholders at all levels to adopt and adhere to security protocols and standards to drive a best in class approach to security on the programme. You will also be responsible for reviewing all change requests from a security perspective and delivering the appropriate solution either directly or through the support of our Cyber team as necessary. You'll also be responsible for the handling of any security incidents and the relevant resolution of these for the programme.
Your skills and knowledge of operational IT security will be called upon to provide our client with advice and guidance on our engagement and any other security issues as they arise. You will be responsible for the management and running of the CGI/Client Security Forum, including production of Minutes and actions arising.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You should have demonstrable experience and a successful proven track record in delivering operational IT Security Management ideally gained from operating in a Local Government, healthcare and/or financial environment. You will need excellent operational IT security knowledge to implement key security management policies coupled with the ability, and gravitas, to influence key stakeholders at all levels to ensure these are implemented and adhered to.
