Your new company is a global multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced principle LEAN/Continuous Improvement Engineer to join this very successful, secure and growing business in the Manchester area.
Your new role
In your new role you will be based in the Manchester office but depending on projects you may have to travel to other offices in the UK, international travel will also be required from time to time. Your main duties will be to work closely with the senior team to identify opportunities to introduce LEAN/continuous improvement to clients. You will utilise tools such as identifying Muda, VSM and SPC. Your goal will also be to forge relationships with sector leads in automation, food and beverage, aerospace and manufacturing. You will also apply and train Lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, Kanban AND SMED.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have a track record of change and process improvement within a similar role, ideally and manufacturing business. You will need to have an engineering degree, preferably in mechanical, chemical engineering or manufacturing systems. It is essential that you are at least LEAN six sigma green belt certified. You will also need to have experience in all areas of Lean manufacturing (Toyata Production system, Kaizan methods, TPM, JIT and SMED).
