Trainee Travel Consultant
Basic Salary up to £17k depending on experience plus uncapped £OTE commission

Our expansion is creating a new and hugely exciting opportunity for a trainee or junior travel consultant to join our team.
To fit with our plans, we are looking for a very dynamic and ambitious person with a passion for travel, who are ready for new and exciting challenges
What the job involves:
You will be office based, selling villa holidays to customers in UK and overseas, learning to maximise sales by matching requirements.
You will deal with enquiries by phone, email and web chat and develop these leads into solid enquiries and finally sales.
You will be sourcing flights, car hire and other requirements as needed and putting forward quotations for customers for their tailor made holidays. You will organize all the necessary documentation so high standards of accuracy are essential.
You will also have the opportunity to learn about marketing and become involved in areas such as content writing and/or social media.
Once successfully proven in the office, there will be occasional opportunities to visit some of the destinations.
You will receive both product and sales training on going to ensure you progress
The right candidate
The successful candidates will ideally have some sales / telesales experience though we would consider exceptional people to train from scratch. They will be looking for a career in sales. We would also consider someone wishing to train within an apprenticeship scheme.
They will be a great communicator with an animated personality, able to talk passionately and in an enthusiastic manner about what they are selling.
Computer literacy would be a given, as would sound administrative ability. They will have the strong self-motivating skills you would expect to find in someone ambitious.
They will be keen and excited to learn about the destinations and the different holidays so that they can advise with customers with genuine experience and knowledge. One of our USP’s is that we never sell a villa that one of us has not visited
They will enjoy working to targets and thrive on working in a fast paced atmosphere.

This is a permanent position to become an important member of our team. Hours will be 40 per week with some early or late and some weekend work with time off in lieu. Applicants must be a British Citizen or have appropriate UK work permit. No agencies please.
