Are you an experienced Finance Manager, seeking a new challenge within the Bishops Stortford area?

Reed Accountancy are currently representing a valued client in the search for a Finance Manager. This is a pivotal role which will take on full financial responsibility for the manufacturing side of the business.

This is a newly created position, within an organisation that stands at the forefront of the industry in which they operate.

This varied role will include, but not be limited to:

Financial close, forecasting, budget, inventory and internal controls.

As well as this, the newly appointed Finance Manager will ensure all manufacturing operations comply with control policies, by reviewing transactions and conducting periodical audits of accounting practices. 

Coordinate and prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual internal financial reporting to ensure communication of accurate information to management.

Managing the budgeting process to include forecasts, production plan, shipments, labour loads, cost reduction programs, capital investments, etc. Assessing and highlighting financial risk associated with such business plan.

Investigating, reviewing and analysing the accounting flow, controls and procedures. Working on developing improvements and implementing corrective actions. While maintaining Sarbanes Oxley compliance documentation.

The Finance Manager will also be responsible for the development, review, and analysis of standard costs for all new products, including the annual standard update, development of labour and overhead rates and the qualification of year to year financial impact of changes.

Management of the General Ledger, providing analysis to explain variances and support cost estimates and cost reduction programs. Identifying financial benefits related to new product requests and making recommendations to management.

The successful candidate will also be involved in the implementation of management systems and ad hoc accounting duties.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential, including exposure to cost accounting, as well as strong working knowledge of Excel and ERP systems.

The successful candidate must possess experience gained within the Manufacturing industry. 

This is a hands on operational role, supported by the Finance Director.
