My Client is a well known group of companies who is looking to add to their IFA business and is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their expanding team. With offices based across the UK, they foster a culture of internal progression and offer exam support and will aid further study with examination books paid for and fantastic benefits!

Main duties:

• Ensure appropriate ethical standards exist within the firm.

• Ensure knowledge of the necessary regulatory requirements is kept up to date.

• Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the FCA Statements of Principle & Code of Practice and the relevant FCA rules at all times.

• Comply with the relevant Compliance, TCF, T&C and Financial Crime Procedures of the firm at all times.
• Prepare suitability reports / fund switch letters in line with company procedures and tasks

• Conduct research as required to support recommendations

• Liaise with technical and compliance departments when required

• Assist in follow up action requested in relation to a compliance file check.

• Deals effectively with clients and colleagues, understanding the need to manage clients and colleagues expectations

• Will understand the need for confidentiality of information and will deal with personnel issues appropriately and sensitively.

Experienced needed:

• Good understanding of other relevant legislation, including that related to financial crime
• Level 4 Diploma qualified is ideal
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to listen and follow instruction effectively.
• Working towards Chartered Status is beneficial
• Anti Money Laundering including how to identify suspicious transactions/activities and how to report.
• Detailed understanding of CCD (back office system) and Microsoft Office.
