As one of the UK’s largest independently-owned commercial vehicle dealers, TruckEast supports its customer base across the eastern counties, providing a full support solution from our 13 dealer points.

TruckEast have an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join their existing team at their Wellingborough branch. Providing assistance in the development and implementation of effective marketing communications, this role will be responsible for a range of both on and offline activities that adhere to brand expectations.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and implementation of internal and external POS and advertising materials
  • Provide support in event management including planning, pre and post event follow ups and reporting
  • Assist in the maintenance of the company CRM to enable targeted campaigns
  • Monitor industry and competitor activity and identify business opportunities
  • Management of promotional materials and onsite POS
  • Assist in the management of the company websites, using the CMS to ensure regular updates and report on activity
  • Manage all social channels with the use of the social media strategy - creating relevant, targeted and engaging content
  • Implementation and reporting of e-campaigns (targeted offers, news and CRM touchpoints)
  • To create and update relevant reporting to management
  • To work in conjunction with other members of the marketing team to ensure the department achieves its required goals and objectives
  • Day-to-day general administration
  • Other duties as specified by the Marketing Manager

Education and/or Experience

  • Marketing degree (or equivalent) and/or demonstrable experience in a similar role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team whilst demonstrating strong levels of initiative
  • Working knowledge of various systems such as CRM, CMS, Social Media Tools, Analytics Software, Photoshop (or equivalent editing software) is essential
  • Strong copy writing skills with high levels of attention to detail
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
  • "Can do" approach
  • Computer literacy on full suite of Microsoft Office - especially Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint
