About our service

All our homes aim to help people move on to more independent accommodation by providing support that meets their changing needs. We believe in recovery and the involvement of individuals in the management of their own condition. This means offering a stable home life, either for the long or short term, for all those that need our help.

Our registered care homes in Swindon provides support for 21 services users who have enduring mental health needs.

About you:

The successful candidate will work with people living in the service, supporting them, identifying their needs and helping them to achieve their personal goals of recovery by promoting personal responsibility and self confidence to access mainstream resources and a socially inclusive lifestyle.

The successful candidate will be familiar with recovery plans, as you will be providing one-to-one key worker support to service users. You will be supporting service users in activities of their choice and duties may also include cleaning, shopping, gardening, administration of medication and supporting them in their personal care.

Good communication ability, both verbally and in writing, are essential for this role. A sound organisation and IT skills, with the ability to keep records both accurately and concisely.

We're looking for a great relationship builder, working directly with the people who use the service. With a good understanding of mental illness - gained either through work or personal experience - you will also be qualified to level 3 (or equivalent).

The post holder must be able to work flexibly as part of a 24/7 rota including nights, weekends and sleep ins.
