An 18 month fixed term contract (FTC) job opportunity in Bristol, for an experienced Systems Developer to join a successful and professional systems development team in a highly reputed organisation. My client is dedicated to developing the very best digital and online technologies for their organisation, as they go through a major digital transformation and upgrade. They are continuing to grow their technology teams to support new and ongoing projects to deliver user friendly systems and seamless administrative frameworks to support their stakeholders and to drive innovation, staying ahead of their competition, and providing the best services to users.
Your new role
You'll be working on a project to establish and support digital connectivity and productivity across the organisation for both its internal and external users. This is a hands-on development role that will also require you to help develop and integrate a new suite of products - some packaged solutions and some bespoke - helping the organisation to move seamlessly from older legacy systems to newer, fresh technologies. You will be working with a variety of technologies web, Microsoft and Opensource, and primarily be working to migrate from Google to Office 365. You will work in Agile and Waterfall environments with a really talented and professional development team who are really passionate about their work. It is a challenging and varied role, with a high level of autonomy which will enable you to develop professionally and personally.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a relevant computer science, technical or technology degree, or career experience to show strong relevant practical and professional knowledge. You will have experience of working in project environments, strong software and systems development experience, ideally on enterprise scale applications, and with migration and continuous integration, perhaps having previously working on integrating with legacy systems. Knowledge of service management and ITIL would also be particularly relevant. As an individual you should be a confident communicator, able to communicate and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You must be adaptable and flexible, willing to learn and use new and unfamiliar technologies, able to work under your own initiative and happy to contribute fully to the team's success.
