Looking for a development role where you don’t spend half your salary on a season ticket? Want to significantly add to your portfolio of skills and still get home before the watershed? If so, read on.

Premium Credit is the leading insurance premium finance company in the UK and Ireland. Due to team expansion, we are now looking for a Junior .NET Developer to join our growing Digital Support Team.

Although insurance finance isn’t the most glamorous sector, financial systems are at the cutting edge of development and you will have the chance to work on some incredible innovations. You’ll be learning and working with the best on the kind of secretive projects that do not get passed to agencies and so you’ll benefit from inside information long before the rest of the industry.

So if you are looking for an exceptional opportunity to push yourself and your skills and grow your experience across the board within an Agile environment, this is the role for you.

As one of our Junior .NET Developers, you will join our Digital Support Team, delivering projects and developing n-tier component based designs.

Within a team of five, you will report to the Senior Developer and will be supported by .NET Developers to ensure your work is up to scratch and you have the skills to excel in your role. You’ll be using OO development methodologies within a service oriented architecture.

The environment is challenging and engaging and we rely heavily on our technology to maintain our lead within the market. You’ll be scoping technical requirements and specs, writing and unit testing code and co-ordinating the release of software into production.

Additionally, your role will involve:

- Building a good understanding of applications that are owned by the Digital Support Team
- Documenting and resolving production problems
- Working across our development lifecycle within other technology and project areas devising plans, and ensuring work is undertaken in a structured, controlled manner
- Providing some out-of-hours cover as requested to support your other work

Interested? If so, you will need:

- Experience of transactional and e-business based applications
- Experience of working on Microsoft .NET based applications in C# and SQL Server
- Experience in Agile development
- Experience in automated testing tools such as Nunit

It would also be amazing if you have experience in using CI tools to implement automated builds and deployments, experience in developing on CMS tools, ideally Sitecore, and experience in using TFS for task management, Source Control and CI. However, none of these are essential.
