I am recruiting for a Stock Control & Purchase Senior Clerk for a successful and expanding janitorial equipment distributor in Farnborough. Great opportunity for an experienced and skilled stock control and purchasing person. This role is permanent, full time, Mon-Fri 8.00-17.00 hrs, offering a salary £23k-£27k based on experience and 25 days holiday plus a day off for birthday. If you are interested, read on and apply!

Role Responsibilities will be:

- Ability to implement and manage a stock system that is suitable for the supplies industry

- Understanding of stock control principles and setting up systems

- Checking deliveries against orders and keeping strict records of distribution

- Procuring best purchase prices and maintaining accurate prices on the internal system

- Maintaining stock accuracy including minimum stock levels

- Periodically checking stock levels and investigating discrepancies

- Responsible for reducing, reporting and recording all stock waste, to produce report/s for senior management

- Recording all stock adjustments

- Placing orders for products and equipment

- Managing returns and faulty products

- Managing the input and output of stock from various depots

- Forecasting of future requirements and ordering stock working within agreed company budgets

- Proactively manage future and existing out of stock problems with suppliers and communicate internally

- Arranging and managing the shipment of container goods from various sources

- Assist in the review and management of aged stock and identify ways in which this can be avoided/reduced
