Business Development Manager (London and the South)

Parc Ellis are working with a UK leader in street furniture who are now recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to cover the London and South East region. This is a home based role so the successful candidate will need to have a wealth of experience of building profitable pipelines in order to sell the company products and services to both new and existing clients. You will be largely responsible for your own calendar with both support and direction from the main office.

Duties may involve:

To Self-generate own leads, building prospect databases, making cold calls and networking to develop a strong pipeline of new business, recording results and maintaining an up to date work flow

Answering phone and providing a 'first point of call’, dealing with customer enquiries and following up quotations.

Preparing own itinerary and arranging appointments with prospective and existing clients.

Undertaking customer visits and meeting clients, discussing their needs and undertaking sales presentations, designing suitable solutions based Company product offerings to suit client requirements and budget.

Undertaking technical site surveys and measurements to clarify requirements and developing layouts for preparation of detailed job costing for installations.

Preparing quotations and tenders and conversion into orders.

Client liaison during installation and after sales contract inspections.

Experience required

You will have with a rounded experience of business, preferably in both public and private sectors, with good insight into identifying opportunities and a mature outlook.

Excellent Written and verbal communication skills, remaining professional at all times

Numeracy - the ability to understand costs and margins and how these are linked to the selling/market price of goods. Able to calculate margins and understand volume factors when assessing product costs.

Strong working knowledge of MS Office programs plus knowledge of standard back office systems with Quote, Sales and Purchase Order, Stock and Inventory modules. Knowledge or use of AutoCAD would be an advantage.

In return the company are offering a Salary of £35k per annum + GP based commission (approx. £10-15k depending on performance)., Quarterly Bonus (depending on company performance).
