Contract Type
Full Time

Front End Developer required for a well-known digital agency who are opening a brand new office in Manchester City Centre. A rare opportunity to join an established company in a new location where you can have a real stamp on the direction of the Manchester team.

The Company:

A forward thinking digital agency who historically focused on delivering first class intranets and extranets for a highly desirable list of clients. Over the last few years, they have decided to put their focus on delivering a full suite of digital solutions from website re-designs, mobile applications, digital strategy, social media strategy and anything in between. This change in strategic direction has resulted in a host of major project wins, industry awards and most importantly a growing, motivated and talented team.

They have a great culture across their offices, with a work hard, play hard attitude and the offices are always buzzing with multiple projects on going at once, a well-stocked beer fridge and lots of banter.

Along with a number of social activities throughout the year, you will also benefit from a flexible working environment, pension and multiple other benefits. And most importantly, a fully stocked beer fridge.

The Role:

You'll be working on multiple projects at any one time, meaning you'll have to be happy to juggle your time to make sure deadlines are met. The fast paced environment will see you work on greenfield and brownfield solutions, including mobile applications, complete website upgrades and complex intranets / extranets.

From a technical perspective, you'll be strong across all the usual customers when it comes to front end development - HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Any knowledge of or interest in UX and Graphic Design would be beneficial but not essential.

They have adapted Agile to suit their needs which often changes slightly depending on the customers need. However, they generally try to follow daily stand ups and work in 2 week sprints if possible.

The Person:

You will thrive in this environment if you're hard working, up for a challenge, can handle pressure and want to work with people that don't take themselves too seriously. As you'll be one of the first people in the new office, you'll have to be comfortable being given a large amount of autonomy with the ability to get things done without being constantly monitored.

Salary on offer is £25-35k DOE

Flexible working hours

The company take training very seriously with a big focus on the development team going on courses, attending meet-ups and indeed organising their own meet-ups. Each employee has a personal budget and are encouraged to use it!

Your new company also take giving back seriously with multiple fundraisers throughout the year, a % of profit being given to various charities and employees being given the chance to take free days off to volunteer for whoever they see fit.
