NECA Recruitment are looking for a gambling counsellor to work in the York region. The role is a part time role and is contracted for one day per week with the opportunity to work additional hours of up to 2 days. Days of work will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. (up to 21 hours per week)
The role will be to provide one to one structured counselling to individuals experiencing difficulties with gambling. You will also be required to provide advice and support to colleagues counselling individuals about their gambling behaviour.
The successful candidate will be familiar with and work to quality assurance standards including QuADS, DANOS, Models of Care and any other standards relevant to the Service. You will be required to provide statistical date and reports as requested and keep client records and files are accurate and maintained regularly.
You will be educated up to NQF Level 4 and above with a professional Dipolma in Counselling or equivalent; BACP registered, or willing to within a specified time frame. Experience of working with clients ambivalent to change and working on a one to one structured counselling/psychosocial interventions is also a requirement of this role.
