Marketing Assistant (Publishing)
Central London
£20,000 per annum

Career Moves are working with a global publishing house to source a Marketing Assistant to help with a wide variety of marketing tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting the Marketing team with a wide variety of campaigns and projects across several marketing channels
  • Scheduling updates on social media platforms including Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Reporting on Social Media analytics and trends
  • Managing the creation, set-up and analysis of online banner ad campaigns
  • Coordinating the briefs and updates for materials including: business cards, postcards and other hard copy marketing pieces, in collaboration with the Design department
  • Managing small template updates using InDesign
  • Completing web updates using the content management system (CMS)
  • Carrying out market research and data analysis
  • Setting up, monitoring and reviewing Google and LinkedIn PPC campaigns
  • Monitoring competitor activity to feed into overall business intelligence
  • Carrying out admin support for the team as required
  • Taking minutes
  • Proofing email campaigns
  • Monitoring marketing plan progress and campaign performance
  • Preparing updates and data for publisher reports
  • Submitting general reporting/data requests

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Degree-level academic qualification or professional equivalent - would suit first jobber

LANGUAGE, ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

  • A self starter with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management with key internal stakeholders - editorial, marketing services, design, sales and production
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who is creative, extremely organised, innovative and a natural problem solver
  • Must be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and opportunities
  • A high degree of literacy, accuracy and attention to detail necessary
  • Must be able to work to urgent deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy (particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Knowledge and experience with InDesign is preferred but not essential
