An outstanding Nursery in the Godalming area of Surrey, who are very proud of their "warm and friendly the atmosphere" are looking for a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Nursery is "like a home away from home" for both the children and the parents, where all members of staff love working with children and are devoted to helping them to develop in confidence and reach their potential, whilst in a safe and stimulating environment.

You would be joining an extremely professional team, and expected to ensure standards are maintained without the compromising the homely feel of the nursery.
All staff are actively encouraged to continue training and to enhance their personal development, so the children can benefit from the best possible care and support.

Early Years Practitioner needed for 4 days per week, Tuesday - Friday from 8am - 6pm (36 hours per week) on a permanent basis.

Ideally you will be Level 2 or Level 3 qualified with a desire to enhance and develop your skills, passionate and subject knowledge thorough continuing professional development.

The Role:


- Responsible for delivering exceptional care and education for children.
- Actively involved in the wider Nursery community
- Passionate and dedicated to delivering high standards of childcare/education 
- To support children’s development in partnership with parents.
- To ensure the quality of observations, planning for next steps and evaluation is of a high standard and meets the needs of all children in attendance.
- Working in collaboration with others and taking responsibility for working in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support and promote diversity and equality
- Work towards a common goal sharing ideas and feedback to create consistency
- Demonstrate a proactive approach using your initiative and showing resilience to take responsibility for getting things done

What You Will Need:

- A full and relevant UK level 2 childcare qualification - or higher
- At least 2 years post qualified experience working in an early years setting
- Understand issues around child development in order to support all children including children with disabilities.
- Recognise the importance of observation to inform planning for individual children’s needs and interests. 
- Good knowledge of the Revised Early Years Foundation Stage (Curriculum frameworks) and Welfare Requirements
- Understand the importance of and fulfill the role of a key person
- An understanding of your role in keeping everyone safe and how to apply child protection procedures
- Able to work in partnership with parents and other professionals
- Able to have empathy and an ability to understand a child’s view
