Key Duties and Responsibilities:
This role is to assist the Group Financial Controller in the day to day running of the finance function within the Central team. While the job description goes some way to outlining core responsibilities, the fact of the central team is that there is a degree of fluidity within the roles, meaning this is unlikely to be exhaustive.
Maintenance of books and records for Central team within the UK
Includes: Sales ledger - Billing monthly client fees and commissions due from affiliates. Assisting the UK finance team to resolve any queries regarding credit control on central clients and intercompany sales invoices.
Review WIP balances with the Group Financial Controller relating to the central team clients on a timely basis ensuring clients are billed per their contractual arrangements.
Revenue Forecast Updating revenue forecast by client with actuals and liaise with senior members of the central team to ensure the forecast is updated weekly.
Purchase ledger Processing and coding of central team supplier invoices. Ensuring central team suppliers are paid correctly per the affiliate agreements.
Helping the UK finance team with queries relating to intercompany supplier invoices.
Credit Cards Matching receipts to the credit card statement and processing to the monthly shared cloud system
Bank ReconciliationComplete the bank reconciliation for Group and International arm on a monthly basis
Balance Sheet Recs Monthly balance sheet recs for UK Centre, International, and Holdings Company
Monthly management accounts and maintenance of books and records for Central team within the UK. Includes month end processing, reporting to Group and offshore VAT reporting
Management of external commission arrangements with affiliates as required
Ownership of budget - detailed preparation of Centre budget in accordance with Group guidelines team
Ownership of Centre forecast - providing Group CFO with accurate and timely information regarding the monthly financial results and overview of the forecast going forward.
To complete the month end process and assist the Group Financial Controller in the preparation of management accounts for the Central team in line with group deadlines.
Management and billing of external commission arrangements with affiliates as required
Highlight any issues relating to balance sheet accounts - question and analyse accrued income and WIP, and any unreconciled balances where necessary
Assist UK finance team when necessary to resolve intercompany queries relating to central team invoices.
Liaising with markets at month end to ensure final submissions are loaded into Group Accounting system
Co-ordinating international client accounts with other Group markets - ensuring monthly reporting of financial data is correct within each market
Assist Group Financial Controller in collating various other financial information from markets as required
Ad Hoc Duties
Provide assistance to group and in market new business teams as required
Assist Group Financial Controller / Group CFO in responding to ad hoc requests from Group
