Our world class clients, based in Cambridge, are now in the market for a Sales Development Executive to join their Sales and Marketing team. The role will involve the generation of sales leads from marketing campaigns, exhibitions / events, website and telephone enquiries. The role will also involve :

  • Follow up and qualify all inbound leads and process via SAP CRM

  • Understand qualification from a sales perspective and prioritise accordingly

  • Ensure that all leads are routed correctly; either to the Account Management team or back into Marketing for further nurturing

  • Take a pro-active account-led approach to explore further sales opportunities (portfolio selling)

  • Understand the structure of CRM and lead flow

  • Ensure that customer data is kept up to date and is segmented correctly

  • Execute post exhibition/event telesales campaign

  • Prepare reports on lead conversion and other relevant topics

  • Assist in preparing data for marketing campaigns, e.g. trade-in/upgrade campaigns

  • Keep up to date with new product launches

  • Support in improving opportunity forecasting accuracy

  • Attend Exhibitions and Conventions when required

  • Support the wider marketing and sales team as required

This is a key role within the organisation and my clients are keen to secure candidates with the following skills and experience ;

  • Preferred experience in working with SAP CRM, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in speaking to customers
  • Must be self-driven and happy to take their own initiative
  • The suitable applicant should have good sales, telephone and communication skills.
  • Must be able to manage their own work load and prioritise effectively
  • The applicant should be able to work as an individual and contribute within a team environment
  • A good communicator and negotiator
  • Organised and good record keeping
  • Be able to work at weekends and stay away from home if required
  • Overseas travel may be undertaken on request
  • Full driving licence
