Payroll Advisor - Immediate Start

My client is recruiting for an experienced payroll advisor to cover a 9 month maternity contact working for a global company which is the world leader in the distribution industry.

Reporting into the Senior HR Business Partner, this role will focus on ensuring that all monthly payrolls are processed in an accurate and timely manner ensuring payment deadline is met for all staff working alongside another part time member of staff.

Duties include:

- Administering the day to day processing of all aspects of the Company payroll related to existing employees, new starters and leavers within the organisation, including maintaining a thorough and efficient record keeping system
- Accurately calculate payments and deductions in relation to time-sheets, overtime, sickness, family friendly policy including but not limited to SSP, SMP and SPP
- Maintain a record of and administer annual leave commission calculations on a monthly basis through the payroll
- Working knowledge of RTI submission and auto enrolment legislation and requirements
- Ensure that the payroll is completed monthly and that all checks have taken place in line with internal protocol and Law 262
- Collating thorough data to comply with mandatory reporting for internal and external sources both within the UK and Eire
- Liaising with the internal stakeholders, such as HR colleagues and Finance departments, to ensure that the payroll is managed effectively and changes are handled efficiently
- Update and review the Company's payroll procedures in line with internal and external audit recommendations and maintain the Company's Law 262 processes
- Administration, processing and issuing of P11D statements as required.
- Make recommendations for efficiencies within the Payroll processes and work with the Senior HR Business Partner to implement new procedures where agreed
- Assist the Senior HR Business Partner in managing the Company's debt portfolio working with outsource providers where appropriate
