An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic sales support engineer to join an established and well-renowned organisation to help expand sales.

Client Details

My client is a leading supplier of structural steel and plate fabrication equipment.

Description

Provide Customers with a key point of contact for all tooling and consumables enquiries, developing opportunities to increase sales and profitability whilst delivering a first class service to our customers

The main responsibilities are:

  • Represent and support tooling and consumables to customers across the UK
  • Manage revenue and profit to agreed performance levels
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with key suppliers on a regular basis
  • Actively deliver technical tooling support to all customers
  • Identify tooling and consumable opportunities and drive them through from point of sale to completion including delivery to the customer
  • Identify and develop own leads in new and existing customers
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of capital equipment, to maximise the tooling opportunities within the industry
  • Deal with administration in a timely, organised manner and liaise with the Parts Administrator during the sales process
  • Work alongside UK Sales and Service & key suppliers to co-ordinate marketing campaigns
  • Gain an understanding of customers (profitable or non-profitable) and identify any risks and opportunities so you can prioritise customer visits
  • Attend Service meetings and share any information gathered to develop business opportunities
  • Provide regular forecast reporting and activity on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Attend exhibitions and promote products as and when required
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the UK Service Manager/management

Profile

The successful sales manager will have:

  • Engineering Degree
  • Account management and relationship building
  • Excellent communication (inc. listening and negotiating skills)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent IT skills including comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Results orientated
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Industry experience
  • Previous B2B field sales experience or at the very least internal B2B sales experience
  • Valid UK driving licence
