Our property maintenance team have an excellent opportunity for a permanent Labourer / Clearer to join their team. We are looking for someone who has previous experience carrying out a similar labouring role, who is happy to work at heights and undertake new tasks.

What your role will be

As a Labourer/Cleaner within our North West property maintenance team you will be working at heights clearing and fixing gutters, working alongside trades people assisting them when necessary, and carrying out general labouring duties.

Working with your trade colleagues, you will carry out effective repairs and maintenance, may involve regular cleaning of internal and external communal areas and void properties, using the correct materials and equipment as and when required.

Where identified and required, you will be expected to carry out low level and safety repairs (e.g. basic joinery & groundworks or roofing) to both responsive and void properties, communal and external areas.

Your typical working hours will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8am – 4.30pm. However, you will be required to work the occasional Saturday with a day off in the week on a rota pattern with the rest of your team. 

Your background

Ideally you will have experience working within a similar role, have a general building background and possess the ability to carry out low level maintenance and safety repairs. Experience working in customer facing environment is also essential.

Holders of PASMA and similar mobile scaffolding, and experience erecting and dismantling these would be advantageous. 

A good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace is crucial as are record-keeping skills as you will ensure all administration of safety checks is recorded and up to date.  A good level of communication skills are required and computer literacy would be desirable.

A full and current UK driving license is essential.
