My Client is seeking a Health & Safety Environmental Officer to join their expanding team based in Leeds.

My Client a highly regarded financial services company.


You will be responsible for implementing, managing and supporting the business with the development of Environmental policies and procedures needed to achieve the primary objectives within ISO14001.

You will carryout annual review's of the Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures. Develop comprehensive EHS inspection and risk assessment programs to ensure that assessments are completed and the results are acted on.

Working with site management and the Maintenance and Facilities team to devise routines to check all Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules for all UK site services.

You will promote Health, Safety and Environmental practices throughout the UK business. Ensure compliance by third parties through a strong control of contractor process.

You will hold H&S tool box talks and communicate H&S issues with the wider business.
You will hold H&S inductions for new employees and visitors to site. Ensuring UK offices are compliant with the number of H&S reps, First aiders and Fire Marshalls

Identify, collate and analyse data and recommend strategies to improve EHS performance. Liaise with interested parties on environmental, health and safety matters, including: Regulatory bodies, Senior Management team and Departmental Managers, Contractors and suppliers, Insurance personnel and Safety committee members.

You will conduct all investigations of EHS incidents and accidents, subsequent reporting and implementation of any resultant actions.
You will be required to advise on environmental, health and safety matters including new and existing legislation and assisting with the implementation of required internal changes to policy.

Ensure all records and paperwork are kept up to date for H&S and building maintenance. Assist the Head of Office Services with any other projects as required.

???*????? Environmental Management qualification would be advantageous.
*????? ISO14001 experience is essential
*????? Extensive experience of working within a similar role or industry.
*????? Demonstrable experience of working with environmental standards and regulations.
*????? Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and law is essential


???*????? Maths & English GCSE A-C or equivalent or qualified by experience
*????? IOSH/NEBOSH qualification essential
