About the company: A successfully branded company are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Marketing Executive, who has a varied skill set to join their Marketing team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To be the day-to-day point of contact for the development of direct marketing projects
  • Responsible for briefing the direction & product selection as directed by the Marketing Campaign Manager
  • To work closely with the relevant teams to deliver effective product mix in all direct mail campaigns
  • Manage the process of proofing to sign off. Assisting with campaign planning and data selection when necessary in close liaison with the Marketing Campaign Manager;
  • Provide regular reports on performance to the Marketing Campaign Manager
  • To work closely with the relevant teams to deliver effective product mix in emails
  • To be responsible for the testing and sign off of all email creative prior to mailing
  • Responsible for briefing the designer on the design of the HTML creative and also briefing the web team for the setup of linking landing pages where appropriate
  • To effectively manage the email marketing plans on a day to day basis
  • To work closely with the Marketing Campaign Manager to plan and deliver segmented email campaigns
  • Work closely with the Marketing Campaign Manager to agree a plan to acquire new customers through channels such as press, third party inserts, readers offers and partnerships
  • Set up and manage the tracking and promotional mechanics of each offer and provide regular reports on performance to Marketing Campaign Manager
  • To administer/request set up of all discount codes across the relevant marketing channels. Ensuring appropriate set-up is implemented ahead of promotion launches
  • Coordinate product promotion across various marketing channels
  • Write engaging copy across various channels from email to direct mail
  • Manage the purchase order process for product portfolio, including the raising of purchase orders, checking of coding and tracking of deliveries against purchase orders
  • Process despatch notes and notify the Quality Assurance team of new deliveries
  • Monitor expiry products and notify Marketing Campaign Manager of products which stock will exceed expiry date
  • Day-to-day point of contact for suppliers
  • Negotiate, close, review and terminate supplier contracts
  • Resolve issues arising from quality, and nonconformance of delivery from suppliers

About you:

  • Time management - ability to organise and prioritise workload
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A self-starter; ability to work on own initiative
  • Flexibility and adaptability - ability to summarise and present data
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Liaising with external companies including suppliers
  • Ability to build relationships with external suppliers
  • Commercial understanding
  • Commercial exposure within a marketing assistant/executive role
  • Experience within the B2C market
  • Strong proofreading skills
