Upper KS2 Teacher required Merton- September 2017 Permanent Contract

Role: Year 6 teacher with upper KS2 phase leader responsibility.

Prospero teaching is seeking to recruit energetic, experienced, inspiring and skilled Key Stage 2 teacher, to work in a popular and high achieving school in Merton with their year 6 class and to manage and lead the upper school from September, in order to continue the school's development, now and for the future. The post holder will play an important role in developing Early Years provision and be a pivotal member of the Primary Leadership Team.
As the upper KS2 leader you will be responsible for 2 large year 5 and year 6 teams . The post comes with a teaching commitment but in order to allow the successful candidate to develop staff and raise attainment rapidly, leadership and management time will be allocated.
The successful candidate will need to be an excellent practitioner, with a good knowledge and understanding of primary education. The role will call for excellent behaviour management skills, early identification of SEN, as well as outstanding self-management and organisational skills, in order that every child may flourish and reach their full potential.
The school is located in a quiet residential area with several parks and local shops nearby which allows the school to have strong community links. The school is a two from entry primary school with just under 500 chil-dren on role. They are a very well-resourced school, having the benefit a playing field and numerous PCs and laptops.
The School itself is a vibrant and successful primary school. The school itself is a ten minute walk from Morden tube station and Morden South over ground station

To be eligible you must:
Be a qualified teacher (ideally PGCE, GTP, BEd, Cert Ed, BA with QTS)
Have UK teaching experience.
Be a UK resident or be eligible to work in the UK.
Hold a current and up to date DBS disclosure.
Be creative and innovative.
Have drive and tenacity.
Encourage students to reach their full potential.
