We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a 2nd Line Engineer for our Client based in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing migration events with delivery teams and ensuring readiness for evening migration events while working to a clear set of instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive process improvement and streamline activities where applicable
- Ensure all migration workstreams, key stakeholders and external vendors complete their relevant tasks prior to migrations questioning any discrepancies
- Carry out pre-migration and final migration/ cutover checks
- Drive overall progress and order of activities during migrations
- Escalate and manage migration events given any external outages or factors impacting migrations
- Maintain audit trails of all migration events, providing logs and evidence for reporting purposes
- Ensure pre-migration checklists are complete as a pre-requisite for migration commencement
- Ensure interdependencies are raised quickly and addressed from an operational perspective
- Communicating the migration status in preparation for migration activities
- Run scripts and use appropriate tooling to allow colleagues to perform nightly and weekend migrations

Essential Skills:
- Ability to collaborate with teams across the organisation
- Be able to adapt to dynamic project timelines
- Able to work with minimal supervision and make decisions independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in the following:
o MOSS
o GFS
o HPRM
o Meridio
o SPOL
o Robocopy

Personal Skills:
- Be approachable at all times and able to engage with all levels of personnel
- Able to drive teams and people to complete work on time
- Able to work flexible and sometimes unsociable hours (when required)
- Willing to travel
- Self-motivated, logical thinker

Due to the business needs of this role the successful candidate must have existing security clearance or be able to attain security clearance. If applicants do not currently have security clearance they must have photographic ID in the form of a passport or driving license, that is in date and reflects the applicants current address. Proof of address would also be required in the form of 2 bills dated within the last 3 months.
