How we work
Kite Ridge offers residential services for children and young people with serve learning difficulty and behaviours of concern aged 12-19 years who live in Buckinghamshire. We deliver our service from premises in High Wycombe, comprising of 6 bedrooms unit with some shared facilities. In addition to using our own facilities and grounds we support children and young people to access activities within local community settings.
How you’ll make a difference
The Registered Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team to support the children, young people and families who access Kite Ridge. They will be responsible for ensuring all statutory expectations are met and will work alongside senior managers, commissioners and the local authority to provide a quality service. The Registered Manager will work with both the independent visitors and Ofsted to ensure quality is always strived for. The Registered Manager will be ambitious for the children and young people and inspire their team to provide opportunities and an environment that supports positive outcomes for the children and young people.
What you’ll need:
Level 3 Diploma in social care (Young people’s pathway) or equivalent qualification is essential with a requirement to hold or be prepared to work towards a level 5 registered managers Diploma.
Experience of line management and residential care is essential with a good working knowledge of the children's homes regulations and Ofsted inspection framework.
Experience of planning care packages and working rotas is essential.
The successful candidate will be required to register with Ofsted and complete their fit person interview with Ofsted once successful in AFC interview.
