Accounts Assistant, Marketing and Advertising Agency, Central London, up to £22,000

Our client, a Brand Consultancy, is looking for an accounts assistant to join their team in London.
The role is reporting directly into the Financial Controller.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Purchase Ledger

  • Processing supplier invoices on a daily basis; weekly payment runs to suppliers and regular supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Monitor creditor days to assist working capital management.

Expense Management

  • Collate and review all employee expense forms and supporting documents and perform reconciliation’s to Paprika. This involves reviewing the expense submissions, matching supporting documentation and forwarding to the FC for final approval and payment.

Bank Reconciliation

  • Post bank movements daily and ensure all posting are accurate and up to date in preparation for the Financial Controller to carry out the bank reconciliation.
  • Carry out weekly reconciliations for all petty cash accounts to be reviewed by the Financial Controller and process all petty cash receipts and payments.

Monthly Reporting

  • Responsible for the management of prepayments and posting of the monthly allocation journal and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Help produce some of the schedules that make up the monthly Management Accounts pack.


  • Responsible for ensuring that all timesheets are on the system and processed.
  • Collect and monitor holiday and TOIL requests.
  • Administer the company Amex account, the gym membership and travel loans.
  • Provide Paprika user support and training to the business

The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder with good accounting knowledge.
They will have experience of both sales and purchase ledger and will be looking to improve their knowledge of management accounting.

  • Experience of working within an accounts function and have a good working knowledge of ledgers and accounts procedures.
