Residential Property Solicitor - Sheffield

A highly respected firm seek a qualified Solicitor 5 years + post qualification to work in their highly successful Sheffield office.

The role requires someone with experience of handling a busy caseload of residential property work. You should have proven demonstrable experience of working in a busy residential conveyancing department, including handling sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold property and re-mortgages.

The successful candidate will have handled their own conveyancing caseload to include sales, purchases, shared ownerships, leasehold flats, new builds and transfers of equity. Preference will be given to candidates who have also gained an understanding of the CQS accreditation.

Duties will include the preparation and summarising of legal documents as well as drafting and negotiating transactions. The workload will be varied therefore it would be advantageous if you have experience of being able to manage large volumes of work.

The department is relaxed and informal, but extremely professional. The firm put client's needs first, so you will need to have the ability to prioritise your workload and be able to work to and meet deadlines, whilst having an excellent eye for detail and a concern for quality and accuracy. You should have the ability to develop relationships therefore it would be an advantage if you have experience of identifying and developing marketing opportunities.

Ideal candidates will already be working in a Law firm and have experience of residential property work.
