My client, a leading G-15 Housing Association with an asset base of circa £3bn who due to continuous commercial development are looking to expand their property portfolio and subsequently recruit a Development Finance Manager.

Reporting into the Head of Development Finance, the Development Finance Manager will provide pivotal support to the Business Development team in devising the Group's long term corporate strategy.

Main responsibilities will include;

* Providing comprehensive project appraisals to assess the commercial viability of both short and long term development projects,
* Implement and develop a cohesive financial strategy that delivers the Groups vision and strategic objectives
* Manage the long term development business plan, which includes analysis of each entity in the Group for presentation to the board and submission to the regulator
* Prepare reports and commentaries on the impact of the development plan on the long-term plans for the business
* Assess major new business proposals in the context of the Groups business plans; cash flow, financial capacity, critically appraising the financial viability of proposals. This will include carrying out, scenario modelling and financial viabilities review
* Work closely with the business development team in negotiating new business opportunities
* Critically appraise financial models that are used to assess new business opportunities

You will be a qualified accountant, have relevant finance experience at a strategic management level with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of various investment appraisal techniques and leading on strategic direction. Please note that one of the key points of this opportunity, unlike some others, is that the work-life balance is very strong and you will not be required to work more than the standard amount of hours on regular basis.
