Case Study Officer

Being Mencap's Case Study Officer is an exciting and varied role, which will involve working closely with people with a learning disability and their families. You’ll also work with teams across Mencap including employees with a learning disability. With a nose for a powerful story, you will have a proven track record of generating and recording great stories.
Working within the winder Communications Team at Mencap you will be at the forefront of campaigning to change attitudes about learning disability, and to support people with a learning disability - and those that love and care for them - to be front and centre of our output.
The Case Study Officer will support individuals engaging specifically in media work and will be responsible for the development, growth and maintenance of our case study database.
The successful candidate will need to be organised, engaging and a good communicator with people at all levels. They will also need to be confident when interviewing, dealing with journalists and the media, and able to use IT systems efficiently and effectively.
Based in our London head office, hours of work are Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm. Occasional travel will be required.
