BDM - Trailer Freight
Set up in 2014 by three former directors of one of the UK's largest European groupage operator. My client is now a £12 million turnover company operating multi-model services. Through driving innovation, we have taken freight to the next level by offering a market leading European groupage service with daily departures, less transit hubs and rapid transit times servicing across Europe.
Due to our growth we require a Business Development Manager either full time or part time with a passion for business development and relationship building. The focus of the role is to win new business by adding value through the promotion of our services. You will be home based selling in M1 Corridor - Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester as far as Milton Keynes. The M1 is a large area so depending on where the candidate lives will determine how far south the sale patch will be.
You will manage your own diary and develop your own portfolio of opportunities, using the whole sales process from lead generation, appointment making to closing of the account.
The successful candidate will be an experienced sales person from within the freight industry, familiar with selling in the M1 Corridor area and able to demonstrate success in the ability to sell multi-modal services with a European road freight bias. You will also have experience of nurturing and closing key accounts and comfortable dealing with customers at a senior management level. You will be expected to stand on your own feet, use your own initiative and be a self-starter.
