Legal Secretary (J8651) - Permanent - Central Bristol - up to £23.5k per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support to Partners and other fee earners within our client's Insurance group. This role would suit a secretary with strong organisational, communication and IT skills, with the ability to learn and someone who is looking to be part of a busy, friendly office.

Responsibilities will include:

- Audio/copy typing of documents, emails and letters
- Electronic file opening and organisation including creating and maintaining files on a central system, creating e-files for new matters; scanning and coding of documents; electronic filing of emails, documents and letters on document management system.
- General document preparation and management including organising for retrieval and storage of documents, chronologically sorting/indexing/paginating documents; checking photocopying, updating bundles
- Manage post
- Diary management
- Answering and directing telephone calls and relaying accurate messages/answering queries where possible
- Time management; ensuring fee earners' time and narratives are inputted daily
- Assistance with financial tasks including monthly production of billing proformas, amending narratives where necessary, processing on-line invoices/fee notes, responding to a range of high volume financial queries from partners/fee earners
- Arranging travel both UK and abroad and producing itineraries
- Processing expenses
- Production of marketing documents (internal and external)
- Event organisation (internal and external)
- Other administrative duties as required

What you will need:

- A secretarial background
- Previous experience of organising client events
- 70 wpm typing skills; audio and copy typing
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite (including use of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Document management system
- Use of fax, scanner, voicemail and photocopiers
