Junior Cost Accountant

Our client has been busy crafting and creating healthy Delicious foods for Western tastes and lifestyles. They have developed expertise and experience in creating natural, delicious products sweetened only with fruits and their juice concentrate. The company is now going through exciting growth and working with major manufacturers and Multiple Retailers in both B2B and B2C. They are now seeking a driven Junior Cost Accountant to join their lovelyteam.

The Role & Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Financial Controller you will provide the financial link between commercial operations such as supply chain management and sales and the financial operations and requirements of the business.

Key Tasks

Weekly stock and sales reporting

- Creation of weekly reports for review by senior management team incorporating both supply chain and sales results

Sage Processing

- Creation and management of sales orders, pro-forma's and purchase orders through communication with the supply chain and sales personnel and support other areas e.g. marketing for purchase orders
- Manage recording of goods deliveries in/out, stock transfers etc in communication with supply chain administrator
- Reconcile weekly external stock reports to Sage and investigate discrepancies. Reconciliation of stock valuation report to nominal ledger
- Set up new products, customers and suppliers
- Set up customer pricing in accordance with CPA's

Demand Planning/forecast

- Update demand plan with weekly movements and review forecasts to ensure stock is managed effectively

Cost & Profitability Reports

- Creation and management of COGS calculations
- Ad-hoc sales profitability calculations

Key Challenges & Experience

Working as part of a small team in a business based across multiple locations in a fast growth, dynamic environment, whilst forming and developing key relationships


- Previous experience in a similar role (min2 years)
- Keen attention to detail
- Analytical focus & Commercial acumen
- Experience of Sage
- Ability to communicate at all levels with a hands-on approach
- Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task
- Self-motivation
- Degree qualification
- Accounting qualification (may be part-qualified)
