Over the last 20 years, Zen Internet has grown from a pioneering ISP into a company that provides the full range of data, voice and hosting services to business and residential customers across the UK.

Included in our numerous awards for providing excellent service to our customers, we've recently been recognised as one the best companies to work for in the UK.

We now have a key opportunity for a Network Designer - CCNP, WAN, to join the business.

We have recently launched one of the newest, largest networks in the UK, built using the latest SDN and MPLS technologies. Our new network is a carrier grade infrastructure present in more than 400 points of presence across the UK, and built from the ground up for “5 9s” availability. As one of the only truly multi-service networks, you will rise to the unique challenge of supporting the connectivity, voice, hosting and security needs of our residential, business, channel and wholesale customers

As the Network Designer - CCNP, WAN, you will collaborate closely with the Network & Infrastructure Technical Architect and Senior Designers to ensure that our network achieves the desired levels of security, availability and performance. You will also contribute to the definition and planning of the Network & Infrastructure programme of work, ensuring that the scope and requirements of our key projects are clear and achievable.

You will be actively engaged in developing our network planning and modelling tools to ensure we understand and manage our network costs as we continue to expand. You will liaise with our other Senior Designers to ensure that we establish and adhere to high technical standards for our designs and their implementation. You will also work closely with our stakeholders to help them build and optimize their business strategies around the technology we deliver.

You will also be hands-on and have a strong and varied network engineering background. You will take part in projects, working with other engineers to produce and implement designs, build plans, test plans, transition plans and documentation.
