Client Details

Our client is a manufacturing company based in Burnley who are looking to recruit an Engineering Manager

Description

  • Be responsible for managing a team of Maintenance Engineers who operate on a 24 / 7 shift pattern. Flexibility will be required towards your working hours.
  • You will ensure that health and safety policies are applied by all engineering and maintenance staff in their work throughout the site as well as ensuring all work is carried out to specification and that pharmaceutical standards are met where required
  • You will need to be able to respond promptly and effectively to ensure a quick resolution to any equipment issues, minimising downtime and quality and efficiency problems as well as applying lean thinking techniques to ensure that the productive capability of the site is optimised and improved.
  • Collaborate with production managers to ascertain priorities and increase operational time of plant and equipment
  • Be fully conversant with contractor control and RAMS, working at heights and hot work permits
  • Have experience of dealing with chemical delivery, storage and control of chemicals inside anodising plants
  • Implement integrated computer system for preventative maintenance and facility maintenance
  • Ability to be involved in new capital equipment design and installation.
  • Lead process engineers and coach decision making process (5 Why's) root cause and CAPA

Profile

You will be at the forefront of innovation and set extremely high standards in order to supply quality products. We are looking for someone who has the same values and can help drive our engineering team forward by demonstrating a clear teamwork and continuous improvement ethos.

You will be competent multi-skilled maintenance engineer with electrical, mechanical and PLC skills. You should also have experience of working within a chemical processing, FMCG or industrial manufacturing industry.
