The Territory Sales Manager/ Account Manager will have experience in medical sales; ideally a good level of experience in pre-hospital emergency product knowledge but this is not essential. As the Territory Sales Manager you will need to have experience selling not only to secondary care but also primary or community (Only having territory sales experience in secondary care is not enough experience for the nature of this role)

The primary purpose of the role is to prospect for new business and look after existing accounts. The previous Territory Sales Manager was there for 10 years and built long standing relationships with customers.

Our client is a UK owned global distributor of first aid and medical products including first aid kits and supplies, medical instruments, hospital equipment, paramedic supplies as well as the full range of Tactical clothing. As the Territory Sales Manager you will be selling into Hospitals, Police, Military and Fire etc.

The ideal Territory Sales Manager will be dynamic, free thinking, ability to juggle multiple priorities, react to changing circumstances i.e. products, have adaptability and wanting to work in a 'people business'.

The Territory: South England from Kent across to Cornwall (Although there isn't much business past Somerset)

As they Territory Sales Manager you need to be aware of market places, be inquisitive. Just having secondary care would be too narrow; to be considered for this role as stated previously you will need to have sold into other sectors.

The Directors have said there is huge scope for progression after 6/12 months integrating and contributing effectively to the business they will share profit when profit is made. They recognise and reward their staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong IT skills as you will be doing your own quotes & submitting weekly progress reports
  • Ability and experience identifying potential decision makers
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help close deals to meet targets
  • Use company CRM tool
  • Attend exhibitions and conferences as and when required
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that will lead to increased sales
  • Consult with Management on business trends with a view to develop new services, products and distribution channels
  • Present new products and services
  • Develop new and existing relationships
  • Work closely with technical staff and other internal colleagues to ensure customer needs are met
