A Service Department Manager, based in South Yorkshire for a manufacturer of special purpose equipment machinery supplying into a variety of industries. The Service Department Manager will take responsibility for managing several aspects of the service and testing department, including repairs, refurbs, commissioning and installations.

Service Department Manager Duties and Responsibilities Include:

*Manage the Service and Test Engineers ensuring optimum productivity
*Organise the Service Departments workload; managing the logistics of repairs refurbishment work, installations and commissioning of bespoke products.
*Organize and plan the Testing Departments workload effectively.
*Provide technical support with customers
*Handling product complaints and queries
*Provide Quotations, Technical Specification, Risk Assessments and Method Statements for refurbishment work out on the customer's site.
*Provide and manage a training programme
*Reporting KPIs

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

*Management experience
*Degree qualified in Electrical engineering
*Experience of leading a team and improving efficiency
*Ability to achieve targets and KPI's
*Willingness to travel
