Purpose of the role:
To control and co-ordinate all technical information between external consultants and internal departments.To ensure all approvals are obtained and information in line with the programme.
To be responsible for the co-ordination of all design consultants and the flow of technical information for new build contracts through their life on site.
To be responsible for the completion of all approvals, certification up to and including handover of the scheme relevant to the Technical departments role in the scheme.

·Check all drawings and detail for accuracy, correctness and commercial suitability.
·Ensure tender design information programmes are met.
·Improve tender contribution.
·Reduce maintenance liability through choice of robust materials.
·Ensure accurate and on time design information.
·Ensure cost effective design control and buildability.
·Ensure design information complies with client requirements.
·Maintain a register of drawings for all new build contracts.
·Organise and chair design meetings with relevant consultants and designers.
·Apply for and secure statutory body approval of Engineering Design and ground remediation.
·Ensure timely approval of samples for planning condition discharge, clients’ product/colour choices, etc.
·Liaise with Consultants and Statutory Authorities to develop accurate service information and a constraints plan
·Agree training/development plans with junior members of the team.
·Encourage and share knowledge to develop junior members of the Technical Team.
·Carry out appraisals with any direct staff under their control.
What we are looking for:
·Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
·Up to date relevant knowledge of building legislation.
·Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
·Demonstrates eye for detail and commitment to delivering excellent standards.
·Excellent organisational skills.
·Effectively manage time in order to meet deadlines.
·Professional attitude and approach to work.
·Ability to competently operate MS Office (Word & Excel).
·Current and Valid UK driving licence (Delete if not required)
