My Client

·A family owned main contractor with a turnover of over £50 million per annum, they handle projects valued at £500k to £15m each.

·They deal with both new build and refurb projects, involving schools, offices, residential schemes and leisure centres.

·One of the unique things about my client is that they specialise in delivering tricky and interesting projects. Involving, live environments, small footprints and logistical challenges.

The Role – Contracts Manager

Duties as a Contracts Manager would include:

  • Managing multiple new build and refurbishment projects at a time (£2-£7m per project)

·Managing a team of a Senior Site Manager/Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and a Design Manager

·Working both in the office and on-site

·Being hands on, and constant site driving to ensure that everything is moving smoothly

·Working mostly in the office but would require site visits

·Winning business for the company, including business development duties

·Being the main point of contact to clients

  • Ensuring that all work methods are appropriate to meet the needs of the project

·To take responsibility and lead the team

·Being hands-on when on site

Requirements as a Contracts Manager would include:

·Demonstrate a solid track record of overseeing and delivering multiple profitable projects simultaneously valued at min £2m each

  • Past experience working as part of a main contractor

·Has been in a similar role previously

·Ability to win new business for the company

  • Ability to manage a team by having excellent communication skills, which includes client facing communication skills
  • Pays great attention to details and being able to solve ad-hoc problems

·Ability to travel to multiple locations within London

·Great with time-keeping

My client is willing to offer:

·A £62k - £70 on basic PA
