Distribution Manager (Site/Warehouse)

£32,000 to £36,000 + Pension + 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + PRP + Death in Service x 8 + Traveling to other locations across the world


Site Manager required for international manufacturer who have a growing influence within the automotive industry.

The successful candidate can come from ANY distribution/warehouse background, automotive preferred as you will have knowledge of TS16949 standards. Supervisors and team leaders with experience of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing are encouraged to apply.

The role itself has responsibility of 4 Supervisors. You will be responsible for ensuring the site runs smoothly. This includes making sure targets are hit and ensuring the facility is running at maximum efficiency. In addition you’ll need to make sure the site is in full working order. For example if equipment breakdowns you will be responsible for organising subcontractors to come onto site and conduct repairs. You will also be responsible for dealing with suppliers and ensuring all products meet the company’s quality standards.

As the company grows you will be responsible for implementing lean manufacturing techniques and improving the sites efficiency. You will have the opportunity to travel abroad and participate in strategy meetings for the global group.

*Overseeing the day to day running of a distribution centre.

*Managing 4 direct reports.

*Identifying faults with production equipment and managing outside contractors.

*Implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement culture.

*Oversee projects from start to finish.

*Some financial/budget responsibility.

*Engineer/Team Leader/Supervisor from ANY manufacturing background looking to take a step up.

*Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.

*Lives locally to Farnborough.
