: An exciting opportunity has become available at an established engineering company based in Lancashire. The company design, manufacture and supply machine components to the automotive and aerospace industry. This company are looking for an experienced Quality Manager who will be heading up the quality team that they have on site. The company can offer the chance for a candidate to manage a team of engineers and inspectors. This will give an experienced Quality professional the opportunity to help train and support other members of the Quality team to help develop their skill sets. They need a Quality Manager who is knowledgeable with ISO9001 and AS9100 QMS. Candidates need to of previously updated and maintained a company’s quality management system. They are interested in a candidate that also has been heavily involved in the lean manufacturing processes for a company. Key Responsibilities:
-Updating and Maintaining the company’s current QMS (ISO9001/ AS9100) -Drive systems and process improvements-Lead continual improvement in all aspects of quality within the organisation-Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation-Manage the internal audit team, including training and mentoring of internal auditors-Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reportsKey Skills required
-Qualified Internal Auditor – ISO9001 / AS9100 -Management qualification / evidence of previous management experience -Mechanical Engineering Degree (or equivalent) -Good knowledge of lean and quality techniques-Green / Black Belt Six Sigma trained (desirable) -Use of Lean techniques- Kaizen, 5S, Root Cause
