A Senior Internal Communications Officer is required on a permanent basis with British Transport Police (BTP) based in London. Annual salary is £28,863.78 per annum plus £2,495 London Allowance.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain's rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. The dedicated Senior Internal Communications Officer (Change) will manage communications for the employee audience group consisting of approximately 5,000 police officers and staff.

As a Senior Internal Communications Officer you will be required to:

- Create and deliver internal communications relating to all change programmes. They will liaise closely with senior management, departmental heads, Internal Communications colleagues and all associated project teams, establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Provide support and advice on internal communication throughout the organisation, in line with the corporate communications approach. The post holder will be responsible for obtaining authorisation / sign-off at the appropriate level for all change communications and for measuring engagement levels resulting from communication activity.
- The Senior Internal Communications Officer will develop and improve internal communications, to foster employee commitment and ensure that information is being effectively disseminated at every stage. Reporting to the Internal Communications Manager, the successful candidate will develop communications strategies and plans to help ensure successful delivery of each strand of BTP's change programmes. They will consult with business units across the Force to agree messaging, review communication methods (to ensure they are fit for purpose), identify any gaps in communication and recommend and implement solutions.

The successful Senior Internal Communications Officer will be required to evidence the following skills/experience:

- At least two years in a change communications role within an employee engagement, internal communications or project management team.
- Experience of planning and delivering successful change communications and monitoring impact.
- Evidence of delivering important strategic messages using multiple internal channels.
