Estimator/Quantity Surveyor - Reactive and planned maintenance/refurbishment works

Experience in the construction industry advantageous.

Responsibilities

Estimating and Surveying of reactive and planned maintenance/refurbishment projects across all aspects of building.

HI-TECH PROPERTY SERVICES are an well established and ambitious small construction company. We undertake a diverse range of building refurbishment schemes for both public, private and retail sector environments. Our operating range can be simple projects sub £1,000 to more complex projects in excess of £800,000 in value. We have also established an enviable track record on working in conservation and historic building schemes.

Geographically operating across the South Coast and a registered RICS practice through our professional services offering, HI-TECH PROPERTY SERVICES are keen to grow the business through new bidding opportunities whilst also building on our established client base.

To help us grow our business, we are seeking to add an Estimator/QS to the team and looking for a suitable candidate who is keen to be part of a growing business and help win new bidding opportunities.

We are looking for a permanent candidate with either suitable academic qualifications e.g. (HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying) or experience within the construction industry.

The role would include assisting in the;

- Preparation and submission of schedule of rates work through our clients bespoke extranet - Works ranging from £1,000 - £100,000 in value
- Subcontractor enquiries
- Purchasing/ordering of materials
- Updating our client on programming of works
- Taking off of drawings and site visits to measure
- General support to the estimating and surveying team whilst developing and honing their own skills

The candidate will be required to be accurate and methodical in approach with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and

have:

- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Good team working ethic
- Dynamic and driven to help secure business success and part of a growing business
- Full UK Driving License

Salary Negotiable, Range from £40,000 - £45,000.
