I am currently recruiting for an established M&E service provider, who is seeking an Electrical Engineer to be based in Northampton. The client is market leading and well known for internal progression and training within the company to develop employees. The role is paying up to £33,000
Job Purpose:·To carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to building services·Includes the sites electrical distribution systems, control panels, split air conditioning units, chillers, air handling units, boilers, hot water generators, pumps, compressed air systems, building management system and all other M&E associated building plant, equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels, and respond to site engineering emergencies.
Role & Responsibilities:·To undertake small installation works, repairs to building fabric, and handyman duties and services to the site in an efficient and courteous manner, with a strong focus on customer care·To pursue the Faciltites Maintenance strategy for the buildings and to maximise your synergies, experience and knowledge to pursue best practise, maximise value and demonstrate real savings by these measures ·Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet expectations, and agreed service level agreements.·Ensure that reactive repairs are carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet expectations, and agreed service level agreements.· Respond to Building Management System alarms, repair/fix systems equipment and effect emergency repairs as needed.·Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.·Ensure that Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.·To undertake small installation works/projects·To ensure compliance with all statutory certification of building equipment is adhered to at all times.
Person Specification:·Completed an Electrical Apprentice ·NVQ level 3 including 17th Edition or equivalent. ·City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection and Testing·Health & Safety working safely·JIB card in date.·Full Drivers License·5 Years’ experience in a similar environment carrying out planned and reactive maintenance including small works.
